Q: Is this Tool Really Free?

A: There are two variants of this tool, one is free (limited features) and the other is by monthly subscription (enhanced features).

Q: I see that I must provide you with a range of products but I don't know how.

A: You need to create a 'dummy' new product and save it ( after you save it you will see a link at the bottom page to the newly create item with it's new Product Id Number), that will be your highest Product Id. After you find out your highest product Id, you can delete the dummy item.

Q: Do I need to provide you with my highest Prod Id every time I add one?

A: No, once you find out what is your highest number, you can cut yourself some slack and provide us with a number higher than your actual range (maybe 50 more), just to play safe. (this only applies to the subscription version).

Q: Is any of the tools meant to replace the /browseproducts?

A: Not necessarily, we believe that our tools will correctly make the indexing spiders and robots get to your products. Our goal is to make your dynamic page rank high, not a fake page or promote duplicate content.

Q: Is any of this HTMLs indexes created by your tool going to rank high?

A: This HTML will serve as a bridge to have your products indexed and we don't believe the index itself will become a high ranking page.

Q: Will this tool make my dynamic pages get indexed or even rank high?

A: Your dynamic pages are SEO'd already, but the problem for many merchants is that spiders cannot get to the product pages. A text link to your products is needed to have the page indexed, and every link on your website is dynamically generated. We have conducted tests and some other merchants have helped us prove that indeed every [product] page will be fully-indexed and properly related to the relevant content of your products.

We have seen many dynamic product pages rank as high as #1 on Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. after using this tools and submitting right away.

Q: Is this better than a Google, Yahoo or any other site maps?

A: We like to think so, because of the fully-indexable nature of text links and true HTML. Tests and search results prove it to us.

Q: I have Google site maps and Yahoo stuff, should I stop them?

A: By no means we would like you to stop them, if you feel comfortable having those maps you should not stop them. This tool is not intended to dictate how you should do your SEO. The purpose of this tool is simple: To do all the hard work that takes in creating a text link to every product of your inventory and let the spiders follow the links to the real target page.

Q: Can I use the data from the tools and copy & paste it to my other mapping tools?

A: Absolutely, this tool was created to help Monster Commerce Merchants (NetSol) in any way possible. Once you create your product index (free or paid version), you own the HTML and you can use it or modify it in any way.

Q: How many times can I use the tools?

A: Unlimited times, the free tool (links only) generates a real-time html list every time. And the subscription tool builds up a list of your products every Wednesday and Sunday night (with pictures, Alt tags, prices, formatted table, etc).

Q: Will the subscription tool upload itself to my site?

A: No, you will have to download the generated html (in zip format), then you need to unzip it, upload it to your root directory and link to it.

Q: Will every product get indexed just by uploading the HTML to my root directory?

A: No, you need to create a link to it from your LEFT SIDE HTML, and you need to place that link high on your website (using a text link).

Q: How soon can I see results?

A: Although we cannot guarantee any immediate results, we've seen full dynamic indexing from 3 days to 2 weeks. Remember to have keywords on your keywords field for every product.

Q: Seeing all my products at glance helps?

A: Yes, some of our tester merchants have realized that they had active products that they did not know about.

Q: Can I still use the tools if my website uses APD (Advanced Product Display) ?

A: The Free tool works fine with APD sites, but the APD feature may interfere with the Subscription tool (Images may not be indexed properly). Please contact us first before subscribing.

Q: My website has the User Must Login set to YES, can I still use the tools?

A: Websites that require Login cannot be indexed at this time.

Q: I have migrated to Version 7, can I use the Tool?

A: No, This Tool is for v4 of the cart. You need to subscribe to the v7.x version of IndexMaker.

Q: How many URL's can a Sitemap have?

A: Google and the league of other search engines suggests that every sitemap should have only a limited number of pages/urls listed in it and that’s 50,000 URLs per sitemap. Also, any given sitemap file should not be more than 10MB (10,485,760 bytes) file size.
